If you memorize from the NASB, we want to make you aware of a few recent changes to VerseLocker. In response to user feedback, we added the NASB 2020 and Legacy Standard Bible translations to the app. You'll now see these options when adding new memory verses to your account.
The NASB 2020 is an update of the NASB 1995 that further improves accuracy, modernizes language, and improves readability. The Legacy Standard Bible (LSB) was released in 2021. Completed by a team of scholars from The Master’s Seminary and University, the LSB seeks to advance the NASB 1995 while preserving and honoring its accuracy. Practically speaking, the NASB 2020 will read quite differently to long-time users of the NASB 1995. The LSB, on the other hand, is a very minor revision.
If you would like to still use NASB 1995 translation for memorization, good news: it won't be going away! If you previously chose the NASB as your default translation in VerseLocker, your new default has been updated to NASB95. You won't notice a change in your account unless you manually switch to the "NASB" or "LSB" option. Happy memorizing!
