Who is SMF?

At SMF, our mission is to help God’s people embrace the spiritual discipline of Scripture memory. We offer Bible memory courses, run a Bible memory app, speak at conferences and homeschool conventions, and host a summer camp. Every aspect of our ministry is designed to equip and encourage individuals to memorize Scripture.

What's the purpose/vision of a Like a Tree Conference?

In 2024, we launched the Like a Tree Conferences to partner with local churches to help their congregations memorize Scripture. Our goal is to equip individuals with tools and encouragement to strengthen their faith by embedding God’s Word in their hearts.

How does it work?/What does SMF do?

SMF representatives will visit your church to teach the discipline of Scripture memory. Each conference is customized to meet your church’s unique needs, ensuring relevance and impact for your community. The sessions address the “Why” and “How” of memorizing Scripture, providing both motivation and practical guidance.

What do the conferences offer for adults and children?

Each conference offers two separate tracks for adults and children, featuring a mix of lectures and interactive activities. These tracks allow participants to practice memory techniques, making learning engaging and effective for all ages.

How long does it last?

Like a Tree Conferences typically last 4-5 hours and can be hosted at your church on either a Saturday or Sunday, offering flexibility to fit your schedule.

SMF charges $750 plus travel expenses.
