Camp

Scripture Memory Camp is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and enjoy a week of fun, fellowship, and—most importantly—Scripture. Each morning begins with a lakeside devotional and Bible study, followed by an afternoon of recreation and fun. In the evening, campers gather in the gymnasium for singing and a message from God's Word. You'll meet new friends, grow in your memorization skills, and have a blast with special activities. Don't miss the fun!

Who

3rd-5th Grade: 50 verses (pre-selected verses from Psalms 76-125)

6th-12th Grade: 75 verses (pre-selected verses from Psalms 76-150)

Each week, memorize your age-level verses. Recite your verses weekly to an adult hearer (19 and up). All verses must be memorized and recited by the certification deadline: June 14, 2027.

What Does Scripture Memory Camp Cost?

Basic Scholarship for ages 3-18

With a Basic Scholarship, you can attend camp for a nominal fee ($25 deposit + $125 balance due on June 1, 2027). Memorize all the verses for your age level and recite them as you learn them to your parent/guardian or other adult hearer. Your hearer will report your recitations to SMF via the Basic Scholarship Certification Form. This form must be signed and submitted by the memorization deadline: June 14, 2027.

Cumulative Scholarship for ages 3-18 – optional, higher level

With a Cumulative Scholarship, you can attend camp for the cost of your deposit only ($25). Memorize all the verses for your age level and recite them as you learn them to your adult hearer. Then, make an appointment with your pastor or church leader to recite all your age-level verses in one sitting. This is a bigger challenge than the Basic Scholarship, but cumulative recitation will help you retain your verses in long-term memory! When your pastor or church leader signs the Cumulative Certification Form, return it to SMF. All forms must be received by the memorization deadline: June 14, 2027.

What About Adults?

SMF asks adults (19 & up) to pay full price so that scholarship funds can be directed to children and youth. The total for the week is $325 ($25 deposit + $300 balance due on June 1, 2027). SMF reserves the right to perform a background check on adult campers and/or request a letter of reference from their church.
