Summer Ministry Update

"Whatever the LORD pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps" (Psalm 135:6).

God's plans always work together for His glory and the good of His people (Eph. 1:11-12; Rom. 8:28). But God does more than add silver linings to dark clouds; He sovereignly controls every circumstance, masterfully orchestrating the events of life to accomplish things that are infinitely higher and better than we could imagine (Isa. 55:8-9). Perhaps no one was more qualified to speak on this subject than Job: "I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted" (Job 42:2).

Over the last several months, we've had the privilege of seeing God's plans unfold in exciting (and sometimes surprising) ways.

  • God provided for one of our remote staff members, Hannah, to go from part-time to full-time ministry as SMF's Digital Media Specialist. Even more recently, God also opened the door for Hannah to relocate to Texas and work in our headquarters office.
  • We recently welcomed a new staff member, Gloria, who will serve as SMF's part-time Office Assistant.
  • Our annual week of Scripture Memory Camp was a tremendous success as 130 memorizers from across the country gathered in Ringgold, Louisiana, for a week centered around God's Word.
  • Months of effort culminated in the launch of Remember the Words, our newest book on why and how to memorize Scripture. Please pray that God will use this resource to motivate and equip many new memorizers of Scripture.

God's plans cannot be thwarted, and yet He gives us the privilege of participating in His work in the world. As Paul writes, "we are God's fellow workers" (1 Cor. 3:9a). Since Scripture Memory Fellowship's inception in 1977, God's good purposes in this ministry have been accomplished through the faithful support and sacrificial giving of His people. Please join us in praising God for all that He has already accomplished, and consider partnering with us in the work that lies ahead. "For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do" (Heb. 6:10).
